Every once in a great while, a new fashion trend comes along that appeals to nearly everyone, regardless of age, gender or class. These days, I would have to say that the latest products to earn this kind of distinction are rubber bracelets, also called wristbands. You can see these brightly colored accessories gracing the wrists of people from celebrities in Hollywood to average folks in small towns and big cities all across the country. The trend started a couple years ago with the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s hugely popular “LiveStrong” bracelets, and has really exploded from there. Now rubber bracelets are commonly available in a variety of colors that support a whole range of causes.
If you are thinking of putting together a fundraiser for a school or a charitable cause, then selling rubber bracelets would be a sure fire way to quickly generate some cash. These are perfect items to sell because they are very cheap to manufacture and therefore purchase, in large quantities. There are many companies out there that will customize these wristbands for you, meaning you can get them imprinted with any logo or slogan you want and in any color you want. So if you need to raise money for your high school, you can get rubber bracelets made in your school colors with your mascot, year of graduation, or school name on them. If you want to raise money for a charity, you can get the wristbands in colors typically associated with the cause. For example, you’d choose pink for breast cancer awareness, red for AIDS awareness, etc.
Rubber bracelets are obviously very simple products, so there aren’t many things that can go wrong. You should keep an eye out for a couple of things before placing your custom order. First, check the dimensions of the bracelet being offered by the manufacturer. Although these products are designed on the “one size fits all” principle, there are youth and adult versions available. Obviously you’ll have to choose the size that best meets the needs of your target audience. In addition, not all of the rubber bracelets out there have the same material thickness. Some are very thin and flimsy, while others are thicker and sturdier. The LiveStrong wristbands that I mentioned above are about 2mm thick, which is the standard that you should aim for. Anything less than that would likely end up snapping in half after being stretched repeatedly.
A second thing you should do is ask the manufacturer if you can see a sample of one of their finished products. That way, you can check the item for things such as shape, clarity and readability of the logo or slogan, and whether or not there are visible seams. Quality rubber bracelets are manufactured from a single round mold and should not have any seams present.
Depending on the quantity that you order, you can get custom rubber bracelets for as little as 40 cents a piece, or even less. And when you consider that they routinely sell for anywhere between $1 and $5, you can that you’ll be able to raise a great deal of money for your cause. So get a catchy slogan ready and order your own wristbands today!

You don’t have to be a sailor to wear an anchor pendant around your neck. In fact, you may not even be fond of the open sea. An anchor pendant is an attractive fashion accessory that comes in many different styles and sizes. They are available in the traditional gold and silver as well as many other materials. Many people consider the idea of an anchor pendant as a gift for someone who enjoys taking a cruise or has their own sailboat. This is a great idea as it incorporates their love of sailing or boating into their wardrobe.
A fun idea for the man who wants to surprise his wife with the gift of a cruise, is to present her with an anchor pendant and a note that suggests that it’s only a clue of the true gift. Women enjoy wearing an anchor pendant anywhere and it certainly doesn’t have to be worn only when sailing. The style of anchor pendant you choose is really largely dependent on personal taste. There are hundreds of different styles available in every price range.
One very popular choice is an anchor pendant in silver. Silver is more affordable than gold and is actually becoming a staple in fashion today. Many women like the idea of having silver jewelry as opposed to all gold pieces. It affords them the chance to change an outfit simply by changing the accessories. If you are still partial to gold you won’t have any difficulty in finding an anchor pendant. An addition to many pendants, regardless of their shape, is diamonds. When placed on a pendant diamonds add a whole new dimension to the piece. In fact, a diamond studded pendant can be worn to even the most luxurious parties and locales.
Shopping for an anchor pendant can be as simple as opening your web browser. With so many online jewelers, it’s easy to find the things you want. One of the advantages to buying jewelry online is that the cost is often significantly lower than it is in a traditional jewelry store. This is usually because an online jeweler doesn’t have to worry about overhead that includes rent and showcases. Instead they can focus on delivering quality jewelry to their customers.
Once you find the anchor pendant that you want it’s necessary to find a chain that goes with it. If you are a smaller person, consider a dainty chain that accentuates the delicate curves of your neck. This obviously wouldn’t suit a man who wants to wear an anchor pendant around his neck. The best choice for him will probably be a braided chain. Whether you are buying an anchor pendant for yourself or someone special you’ll have no trouble finding the right one. Browse a bit and before long you or the person you give it to, will be showing off the new piece of jewelry.

Birthstones harbor a lot of meaning, beauty and color. But out of the twelve stones, the stone for the month of November beats them all. If you’re a gemstone collector or even a gem enthusiast, you know no set is complete without the magnificent November birthstone. But what do you really know about the November birthstone? There’s a lot of information out there about rocks and minerals, but no one ever seems to have the all you need to know book about this breathtaking rock.
The Topaz is the stone that symbolizes being born during the month of November. Many people always assume a Topaz is just a transparent gold and yellow stone, but that’s not always the case. The November birthstone can come in many colors, such as blue, light green and even pink. The name Topaz actually originated from a Greek word that meant to shine. It also gave the hint of an implication of fire. Greeks from way back in the day felt that the now November birthstone actually gave them power and strength. It was said that the Topaz could ward off certain aliments and even a death that was rather sudden!
Everyone loves having birthstone jewelry, but how do you take care of a pair of birthstone earrings? There are certain rules and guidelines you must follow to the letter in order to ensure the well being of your gems. Always remember to wipe off your stone with a dirt free, soft, wet piece of cloth after you’ve worn it. By remembering to do this you’ll be ensuring that beautiful shine never dies. Storing your November birthstone in a small, smooth bag helps keep oils and dirt away from your stone.
When you’re wearing your birthstone jewelry, make sure you do everything in your power to keep them away from salt water. Remember that sweat is basically salt water, so it’s never a good idea to wear your pieces when you anticipate a raised body temperature. Hard compounds and chemicals like chlorine can harm your November birthstone by eroding away its finish and polish. Detergents are also rather harmful and can act in the same manor that chlorine does. Be sure to never apply hair products, such as hairspray or hair glitter, when wearing your November birthstone. It’s important you apply all scents and toiletries before you put your gems on.
While it’s true that the Topaz is a gemstone and thus has the ability to last for generations, it’s always important to handle them with care. They are very durable, but have the capability of breaking if handled poorly. It’s also very important to keep your gems and stones separated when you store them. Never let one stone touch another for the simple fact that they could scratch each other. A November birthstone is very beautiful, so it’s important to take proper care of them.

Security cages come in all shapes and sizes, and can allow for a great deal of peace of mind for many business owners, from mom-and-pop shops to multi billion dollar corporations. Security cages allow businesses and even private homes to keep important materials secure, even within a general-access area of a building.
Large security cages can cover areas the size of entire rooms and can either be portable or permanently anchored into the surrounding building. Portable systems allow the cages to be broken down and transported to other locations, helpful if a business moves often or has contracted positions at a variety of locations. Permanent cages, though more expensive to install, are generally more secure and harder to break into than portable systems.
Most large cages are either made up of chain link fencing, similar to that used in outdoor fences or wire mesh. Chain link fence, though cheaper to purchase and install, generally doesn’t provide the same security as wire mesh. Both however, can be permanent or portable and can be used to seal off large areas of rooms or even entire areas of a building quickly and easily.
Smaller security cages can cover areas from the size of a computer workstation to a single copier or VCR. They are useful in protecting electronic equipment in high-traffic areas like schools or waiting rooms from theft as they can allow for the use of electronics without allowing the electronics to be moved from their positions. They are often anchored or bolted to desks or walls, preventing the items from being moved at all.
A large cage can protect a cubicle workspace, providing a measure of security in a general area that can be accessed by a large number of people. These smaller cages are usually made up either of reinforced bars or of steel mesh. Bar style cages are nice for schools or universities that need to keep electronic equipment in classrooms without worrying about theft while the classrooms are unoccupied. They allow projectors or computers to be used over the course of the day without allowing them to be moved around the room or out of the room by anyone not authorized to do so.
Security cages allow documents, medicines, electronics or other expensive or sensitive items to be kept secure while still allowing unrestricted use by authorized personnel. They can be used to increase security in already secure areas or to secure items in publicly accessed areas. They also come in a convenient range of sizes to keep any range of items safe and sound.

Are you about ready to tie the knot? Okay, what does that really mean anyway? I never saw any knot anywhere when I was married. Maybe a couple rings and some vows, but no knot. Regardless, you could look at it in a sense of devotion. You are now devoting yourself, body and soul, to another human being. So I guess in a way you’re tied together. Oh, it will definitely feel that way after a few years anyway. Okay forget I said that. On to more important issues at-hand. Take the ring for example. What is the deal here? Are you going all out with that phenomenal band that draws the attention of women for miles? Or have you pretty much been checking out cubic zirconia engagement rings? This is a serious issue, my friend. Approach it wisely. A small mistake could change it all.
I am about to spew out my take on cubic zirconia engagement rings. I will be blunt and completely candid. Although cubic zirconia engagement rings are everywhere now days and many women accept them, I think they’re lame. Now, hold on for a second before you get ticked off and offended. I simply do not care for cubic zirconia engagement rings because they represent fake diamonds. That’s just lame if you ask me. If you want a diamond, purchase a diamond.
There are ones you can afford out there. Heck, don’t be a cheapskate! After all, how often do you get married? Hopefully not very often. Is the woman you’re planning to spend your life with important or not? How much does she mean to you? Ponder this for a while. Now having said that, do you even want a diamond ring? Maybe you want to do what I did and go with a nice hefty birth stone mounted in a beautiful band. This was not too expensive either. However, much will depend on your wife’s birthstone. Either way, you won’t be taking the fake route with cubic zirconia engagement rings. I prefer the birthstone because I feel that it’s more unique and personal. It stands out in the crowd and isn’t so blaaaa.
Okay, if you’re still in the market for cubic zirconia engagement rings, you can always get on the Internet and take your pick from hundreds. However, you may want to consider alternative routes. They are not all expensive. So, while you’re surfing for deals on cubic zirconia engagement rings, check out some of the stuff you can have custom made as well.

They say that one can tell a person’s status by the watch she wears. One of the most prestigious manufacturers of sophisticated timepieces is the company, Girard Perregaux. They are also one of the most enduring in the field, originally trading from 1791 with the G-P name coming later.
The watchmaker and goldsmith, Jean-Francois Bautte made his first watches as a young man in Geneva. His carefully crafted inventions were revolutionary in design and he was commissioned by courts across Europe. The name of Girard Perregaux came about in 1854 when the watchmaker Constant Girard and Marie Perregaux were married. They took the company forward and became well known for their luxury watches, all very attractive and with the latest mechanisms. The most famous product was the ‘Tourbillon Under Three Gold Bridges’, a watch that took the industry by storm in 1889 and received a gold medal at an important exhibition in Paris. It was another personal triumph for Constant Girard, having already introduced the idea of wearing a watch on the wrist eight years earlier.
The company does not like to buy in materials like other companies do and they make most of the mechanisms contained within the timepieces themselves. The reputation for elegant design and pinpoint accuracy at Girard Perregaux continues today. Not content to rest on their laurels, the designers lead the way on product development, catering for the needs of the ultra busy, modern lifestyle. A new watch was placed on the market in 2001 that displayed the time from different locations around the world. It is ideal for the globetrotter or businessperson in contact with clients in other countries.
There are different collections within the company’s range, targeting different customers. The watch with general interest for both men and women is found in the Tonneau Collection and all the products in this Gerard Perregaux line are aesthetically pleasing. The Sport Classique is a range for a more casual lifestyle, suited to wearing during leisure activities at the weekends. Collection Lady, as the name suggests, is a more feminine option with watch faces of a delicate blue shade.
In addition to timepieces, the company also produces high quality pens and a choice of prescription glasses and sunglasses. Other watch manufacturers may be more famous but the customers of Girard Perregaux like being part of such an old tradition and the company pointed the way where others merely followed.

There are so many beautiful designs and styles of earrings available on the market. Unfortunately, many of us are not able to wear most of them because they are not 14k gold earrings. The reason behind the requirement for 14k gold earrings is not jewelry snobbery or pickiness. Many of the metals used to make earrings can really irritate some people’s ears, causing inflammation and possibly infection.
I am someone who likes change and I would love to have a large selection of jewelry, but I have to make sure that 14k gold earrings are the only kind of earrings I put into my ears. If I don’t, I wind up with discolored and swollen earlobes. If I wear metals other than 14k gold earrings for an extended period of time, I find that I can’t wear earrings at all. The general discomfort usually takes about two hours and then I know I have to put my 14k gold earrings back on or else I will be in trouble.
I have also owned earrings that were higher than the 14k gold earrings in gold concentration. The problem with these earrings is that they bend easily. I have lost many pairs of earrings that were 18k and higher. I find that the 14k gold earrings are the most reliable and the most comfortable for me to wear.
When I buy a pair of 14k gold earrings, I also invest in stainless steel earring backs as well. Even thought 14k gold earrings are less likely to bend than gold earrings with a higher concentration of the soft metal, the backs of the 14k gold earrings are still quite soft. I immediately exchange the 14k gold earring backs for the strong stainless steel backings. When it comes to 14k gold earrings, it is better to be safe than sorry. Losing any earring can be very irritating, but losing a valuable 14k gold earring can be costly.
The only regret that I have about the 14k gold earrings is that I do not have as much selection when it comes to this kind of jewelry. Earrings that are plated in gold are not always kind to my ears and I am very limited in the earrings that I can wear. I often look at the jewelry in stores and in catalogues and I find so many that I would love to wear but if they are not 14k gold earrings, I just don’t bother.
